The effort to make the recording was good – however, its value was minimal. Certainly, it is important to talk to friends and relatives, but by and large that info may not be accurate and may lead the patient into a premature and possibly too drastic a treatment course. Better to seek multiple opinions from knowledgeable doctors with varying specialties (not all urologists, for example) and from patient advocate groups whose individual members may provide insight, and finally do significant amount of on-line research from reputable medical institutions (such as Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, MD Anderson.

After diagnosis, which treatment, if any, to have is critical. There is better understand now that all cancers are not the same.Todays imaging and blood test create the possibility to have a more specific understanding of how aggressive the cancer is. All of the treatment choices have different quality of life results. Take the trouble to know as much as possible about your particular cancer.
